#Hater
Cambria Hebert
It started with unspoken animosity. The bitter bite of jealousy. And now its full blown hate.
It was during my first football game that I first felt the first chill of hate. I looked it
right in the eyes and felt its sticky tentacles reach out for me. I’d never experienced
something so cold and empty before.
The effect of that look lingered, like an unspoken promise, long after it was gone.
Becoming a couple – becoming the other half of a campus celebrity wasn’t easy. I let down
walls guarding my heart and he looked past my glasses and accident prone tendencies. Romeo
and I are an unlikely match, a #nerd and a jock. But we made it.
And we’re happy.
Zach doesn’t want us to be happy. He wants Romeo to pay for getting him kicked out of
Omega and for the night he spent in jail. He’s going to use anything and everything he can to
get his revenge. Including me.
As the weather on campus grows cold and the days become dark, revenge becomes the
center of someone’s life and the happiness Romeo and I worked so hard for is threatened.
I can’t help but worry that our love is going to be overshadowed by hate.

Aaaaand BAM! Cambria Hebert starts off the second book in this epic series with a bangbangBANG!
Whoa, got a bit excited there. ;)
But seriously. This book starts off right in media res (I love pointing this out for some reason. I love it when a book starts in media res!), and we're plunged into the world of Rimmel and Romeo once again.
Damn, I just really loved this book. I mean, there was soo much to it, and I loved reading it!! You can really tell that Hebert put a lot of thought, time, and work into this story. Just when you think a problem that has occurred is solved, another curveball is thrown at you, and those curveballs are some pretty exhilarating curveballs!
Ahh, the college life. I appreciate it so much that Hebert added those school details within the story. It makes everything about this story seem more realistic and loving. Romeo is onto making it to the NFL while Rimmel is immersed in her studies. While all of this is going on, they progress in their relationship and more of the characters that were introduced in the first book make more appearances in this one (like Romeo's parents... eeep!).
The ending of this book... let's just say that shit hits the fan towards the end. The epitome of the problems that Rimmel and Romeo have to face makes its appearance, and it really spooked me. I was in shock, and I could do nothing but continue to read and cheer Rimmel & Romeo on as they struggled to get back on their feet. I was completely impressed with Hebert and in utter shock and awe at the way she let the story play out...
This book is a definite must-read. If you haven't read #Nerd (you can check out my review for it here), then what are you waiting for?? This read was SO worth it!!
My Rating:
1/5 I didn't like it
2/5 It was okay
3/5 I liked it
4/5 I really liked it
5/5 It was amazing
