Cambria Hebert
Two people from completely different worlds are about to be thrown together…
In more ways than one.
She wants to keep her scholarship. He wants to stay on the team. An awkward alliance doesn’t even begin to cover Rimmel and Romeo’s relationship.
But that’s about to change.
It starts with a dare. An initiation. A challenge.
Quickly, it turns into more. But when you’re a victim of your status, there is no room for anything real. The rules are clear and simple.
Stick to your circle.
And never fall in love with anyone on the outside.

Wow!
Cambria Hebert is the author of the Take It Off series, and that series is suspenseful, thrilling, and romantic (of course).
But man, this book was definitely a change, and it really shows that Cambria can really write in completely different styles!
This story was extremely refreshing, fun, and it really made you feel pumped up. The story takes place on a college campus, and it's depicted in a way where you feel like you're actually there, living in the moment with these characters.
Rimmel is your stereotypical #nerd. She has dorky glasses, her hair is a wild mess, her clothes are absolutely atrocious (in today's standards), and she's an introvert.
Roman (a.k.a. Romeo) is your stereotypical #jock. He is a football player, he's the hottest guy in school, and everyone knows and loves him.
But when Romeo's grades start to drop, his coach forces him to get tutoring.
And when Rimmel's scholarship depends on tutoring a guy who needs to get his grades up, she is face-to-face with Romeo.
And things become a rollercoaster from there.
This book was awesome. Like seriously: I started it at night and finished it the following day. The story has an upbeat rhythm, but also has its serious moments. Hebert was able to balance these two elements to make it an epic story of how social norms can control a person's life, and that you have to decide on whether you want to continue with the social circle you're in or break out for the things you truly care about.
I also loved how the author created the #BuzzFeed. There was a little blurb, or #BuzzFeed at the start of every chapter that was sent to every student who had signed up to receive them. They were basically notifications that the college students received in the story that filled them in on what was going on throughout the school. By doing this, the readers were sometimes given a little insight as to what was going to happen in the chapter, and it was such and awesome and creative way to keep the story true to its purpose.
I can't WAIT to find out what happens next in book two: #HATER!
My Rating:
1/5 I didn't like it
2/5 It was okay
3/5 I liked it
4/5 I really liked it
5/5 It was amazing
