Trashy
By: Cambria Hebert
She’s trying to move on, but the past won’t let her go.
I fell in love once.
It was a big mistake, but the biggest mistake of all was staying with him.
He pushed me around. He cheated and treated me like trash.
I don’t feel sorry for myself, because I let him.
But no more.
I moved out. I'm saving my stripper's salary for an education that will get me somewhere better.
But breaking the chains of a shitty past isn’t easy. He says I owe him. He says we aren’t done. I don’t care what he says anymore.
I do care about Adam.
But my history tells me I’m not the best judge of men. And the fact Adam’s been married four times tells me he probably isn’t a safe choice.
I need safe. I need better. I need out.
If the past is any indication of my future, getting out isn’t going to be easy.

Whoa.
I loved it.
The story is about Roxie and the things she has to face by herself until Adam starts to play a bigger role in her life. The description of the book that I have provided above sums it all up perfectly, I promise you!
I loved Roxie. She is weak yet strong. Serious, but funny. Soft, yet hard (yes, all of these happening at once is, in fact, possible). She goes through a ton of crap and cannot stop worrying or thinking about something negatively significant for a single moment.
Adam. He is the cutest thing ever. Although he has gone through 4 marriages, he is so caring and sweet and a bunch of other traits that you could possibly look for in a guy. So great!
I just wished that there was a bit more background story to Adam and Roxie, but it is perfectly fine without.
This book isn't your average romance story. It kept me on edge. It was full of semi-action. There is no fairytale-like situation happening where the knight in shining armor saves the princess during a bad event. This book shows you how it is in the real world. It shows you that no matter how hard it is, and even though no one is there to help or save you at that given moment, there is hope. There is forgiveness. There is a rainbow with a pot of gold at the end of it all.
The description in the book is FANTASTIC. I lovedlovedLOVED all of the witty metaphors and descriptions. Sometimes it made me open my jaw wide, unable to close it back because I couldn't get over how awesome it was. Everything within the book was crystal clear because it was described so freaking good throughout the story.
I recommend it. Check out the "Updating News" tab for a chance to win some awesome prizes and look at more information about the book (and the books in the series) and the author!
My Rating:
